#WANDERUNGENDURCHDIEMARKBRANDENBURG shows photography from excursions into the Brandenburg, Mecklenburg and Vorpommern forests, villages and lakes, inspired by Theodor Fontane’s "Walks through the March of Brandenburg" travelogue published 1889. A landscape shaped by Scandinavian glaciers in the last ice age and the Havel river today, and a region full of history that has been at the center of the migration into western Europe in the 10th, christianized by the house of Askania and Zisterzienser Monks in the 12th, acquired by the Swabian hose of Hohenzollern for the state of Prussia in the 15th and taken in storm by Luther’s protestant reforms in the 16th century.
