#SOUSLEMISTRAL

Mistral is the violent, cold wind that accelerates when it passes through the valleys of the Rhone and Durance rivers down to the coast of the Mediterranean. It is usually accompanied by clear, fresh weather, and plays an important role in creating the climate of the Rhone valley, Drome, Provence and Camargue. For human kind, this region has always been the passage into middle Europe, for Neanderthal man, ‘Cro Magnon’ Homo Sapiens, the Greeks and Romans, circumventing the Alpes. #SOUSLEMISTRAL showcases photography of the wilderness, mysterious cultural heritage sites and wonderful colors and light of the Rhone valley region, Provence as well as the French Alpes and Core D’Azur.
